What are the classifications of thermal paper?
1.R series thermal paper:
The most advanced thermal paper, the surface material is high-quality, white, smooth, and more high-grade, which can effectively protect the print head.
Safety level: reach the food safety level;
Glue: water glue.
Features: safe and environmentally friendly.
Thickness: 0.081 mm. Can withstand 24 hours of water immersion. Excellent resistance to blood, oils, solvents and acetic acid.
Operating temperature range: -50C ~ +90C. It can be stored for about two years in a cool, dry room temperature environment.
2. E series thermal paper:
Economical thermal paper label, safety level: reach medical level;
Glue: Hot melt glue.
Features: safe and environmentally friendly.
Thickness: 0.081 mm. It has good water resistance, blood resistance, and oil resistance. This material is not suitable for use on PVC substrates.
It can be stored for about a year and a half in a cool and dry room temperature environment.
3.T series coated paper:
Imported the highest grade coated paper label, the surface is smoother, can effectively protect the print head and prolong the service life.
Glue: water glue.
Features: Safe and environmentally friendly.
Thickness: 0.072 mm, operating temperature range: -50C ~ +90C, it can be stored for about 4 to 5 years in a cool and dry normal temperature environment.
4.M series coated paper:
Domestic coated paper labels, super calendered semi-gloss white coated paper.
Glue: water glue.
Features: Safe and environmentally friendly.
Thickness: 0.064 mm, operating temperature range: -50C ~ +90C, it can be stored for about 2 to 3 years in a cool and dry normal temperature environment.
The difference between thermal paper and coated paper:
Thermal paper labels are matte and can be stored for about 2 years at room temperature. They are suitable for use in the FMCG industry without the need to use carbon ribbons (the print head is heated and printed at high temperature), which is more convenient and the printing effect is clearer and smoother.
The coated paper label is shiny and can be stored for about four or five years at room temperature. It needs to be used with a carbon ribbon and a thermal transfer printer.
The same machine prints thermal paper better than coated paper.
